Two more recently opened non-Korean joints in the back streets of Itaewon - both pretty legit and reasonably priced! Introducing "Maddux" for NYC style pizza BY THE SLICE (and whole pies if you want) and "Little Baja" for LA style seafood tacos - BY THE TACO!

Maddux Pizza - get your large slice, crispy thin crust pizza fix - by the slice! Little Baja - llegit fish, octopus or shrimp tacos - that are cheap too!

If you don't know which alley way to turn at in Itaewon, these places can seem like they're hard to find...but once you know - it is really straight forward. I took rough pictures of where to turn so hopefully this will help those directionally and map challenged people out!

At the Hamilton hotel 3 way intersection, if IBK bank is on your right hand side, keep walking straight until the first alley on your right. This is also the corner where there is a Coa Mart grocery store (across the street from Taco Bell) and THE TAP SPRINGS HOUSE where they have great Neapolitan style pizza and good quality cold cut meats and sausages.

Keep walking straight until this first alley on you left. Turn left here and go straight for about 100metres until you see Maddux Pizza upstairs on your right hand side.

Maddux Pizza - Great thin and crispy crust NYC pizza with huge by the slice pieces!

Easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Impossible to miss if you're looking for it.

Small but plenty of seats to sit and eat. Since it's by the slice, a lot of people may just to take away.

While you can order a whole pie (you probably should call ahead to pre-order so that you can make sure they will have one prepared). Each flavour is also sold by the slice and heated up to a crisp and gooey perfection in a few minutes.

Classic Margherita at 6700won a slice: my favourite. The picture looks small, but it could be cut into two slices and is large to hold in one hand. It is a decent size for the prize and the quality of cheese, amount of fresh basil and ratio of tomato sauce to the crispy yet chewy crust was perfect for me!

Spinach and Artichoke 6700won: this may be popular for those who like extremely creamy things, but it was to heavy for me. It's literally like eating a bowl of artichoke spinach dip - but on a pizza. That's the concept I suppose and I did have a sli…

Spinach and Artichoke 6700won: this may be popular for those who like extremely creamy things, but it was to heavy for me. It's literally like eating a bowl of artichoke spinach dip - but on a pizza. That's the concept I suppose and I did have a slice of artichoke dip pizza while waiting for chicken rice at the brick and mortar shop in NYC on 14th & 2nd, so it must be a popular thing to try. Definitely share this one or you'll have a heart attack trying to finish it by yourself. The flavour and sauce was good - just way too 느끼해 (heavy/creamy) for me.

Sicilian 5400won: a bit of a thicker crust, heavier clumps of cheese and still a good amount of basil. It got too soggy too fast for me, and the crust didn't have the same crispiness to it as the Margherita. I would definitely go with the Margherita!

They have other kinds like pepperoni, cheese and Monte Cristo - ham and brussel sprouts with maple syrup? I didn't try it, but I think I'll stick to my savoury favourites!

Now that you've had your pizza  - you ready for some tacos?

Okay, now back track to the main alley again (after turning down the alley to the RIGHT of IBK bank). Keep going straight and then when you see @cocolounge (my friend's awesome nail/beauty shop), turn left at this alley.

Turn left at the alley where you see Coco lounge (across the street from CU convenient store).

Little Baja - fish, octopus and shrimp tacos!

The owners from LA wanted to replicate Ricky's Fish Taco from East Hollywood LA, and so they did! Tiny place with great seafood tacos and the best horchata in town!

Horchata 5000won. The best horchata I've had! I even liked it better than King Taco's in LA!!! It was a bit thicker and had way more flavour and cinnamon. I like strong flavours, so it was awesome for me! Other ones I've had were way too watery or f…

A taste test of all their seafood tacos on thinly pressed corn tortillas. All of their taco's are battered seafood, fried and topped with thinly cut cabbage, Baja style mayo and red salsa. I would order just the fish and octopus one next time again!

The fish taco - the fish could've been a bit more meatier/bigger portion to the taco, but it was still good. Loved the spiciness and flavour of the salsa!

The octopus taco - this one was my favourite! I love deep fried squid and this just worked with the chewiness of the octopus, crispy batter and crunchy cabbage.

The shrimp taco - I think I would've like this better if it was grilled shrimp. I know fried is their style, but I just prefer my shrimp straight up grilled instead of battered and fried.

Such cheap prices for the size of taco and what you get! This place is tiny though so come at off peak hours, get take-away, or be ready to stand and eat outside of the seats are all taken up!
