Oh Canada! Time for a caesar drink to celebrate Canada day! I only came to discover and love this amazing Canadian cocktail on my recent trip back to my hometown...and now the caesar tour in Vancouver, Canada begins!

Each caesar has it's own slight variations, but these 4 were my favourites for an excellent classic caesar!

@Craft, Olympic Village, Vancouver, BC, Canada.Classic caesar - comes with lemon, a olive and jalapeño garnish, chunky sea salt and pepper on the rim.

Great garnish and double caesar. Topped with borettane onion, peruvian pepper, vermouth-soaked olive and bocconcini cheese. The drink itself had fantastic flavour and spices - they blend their own mix to the Clamato juice with a slight touch of added bbq sauce! Beautiful view of Coal Harbour and the North Shore from the outside patio as well!

This should be included in one of the best classic caesars. The drink was a perfect ratio of ingredients along with amazing pickled green beans - which they also give you a cup of if you ask for it! This is up there with one of my overall favourites!

@Flying Pig, Yaletown, Vancouver, BC, Canada.Classic caesar - come with lime, olives and celery sticks. They use siracha hot sauce instead of tabasco hot sauce. Love the size and presentation in the mason jar.

A bit watery in the clamato juice, and no pickled veggies. Just a celery stick, cute mason jar with a handle and a killer view of false creek. Worth it to just sit on the patio and enjoy the sunshine and view, but next time may enjoy one of the hundreds of beers and wine they have on tap (& barrel).

Great classic with olives and celery sticks. They are very generous with a cup of extra olives and celery sticks if you ask. It gets a bit salty if you eat the whole cup of olives, but it's worth it. Nothing like enjoying a caesar on a sunny day, at a patio at Whistler Village!

I tried a Dill Pickle Caesar and it had WAY too much dill pickle juice in it. I asked for more Clamato juice and practically had to double the drink with more juice. Would not order this again here, but would try the classic next time. Amazing view of English bay from inside.

The drink itself was really watery and not good, but the  pickled green beans and olives were the only good part of the drinks here. I probably wouldn't come back here again for another caesar - or the food either!

Caesar cocktails at Oyster Bar Restaurants - if you like horseradish, crushed ice and no pickled garnish...these are the caesars for you. I much prefer the classic style.

@Chewies, Coal Harbour, Vancouver, BC, Canada. Both very similar, crushed ice in a caesar with lemon, fresh horseradish and a prawn for garnish.

Standing out from the classic Caesars...essentially a meal in your drink!

@Score on Davie, Davie Street, Downtown, Vancouver, BC, Canada.

This place has the mother of all caesar's ("Check-mate" Caesar) if you want an entire meal for 3-4 people in your caesar! No joke! I didn't get it because you need a few people to share how much food comes in it! They had other versions topped with things like grilled cheese, chicken wings amongst other things. So I settled for a "Luongo" Caesar named after the ex-Canuck player - which had a sausage, jalapeños, pepperoni, cheese and onion rings. They carefully place the items so they are skewered above the drink so they don't get soggy. Loved the actual drink itself here as well. Definitely would come back again to try the other versions - and the $60 check-mate one day!

For those wondering - what the heck is a Caesar?

Here is a break-down of a delicious Canadian cocktail. The biggest difference between this and a Bloody Mary is the Mott's Clamato juice - a mix of tomato and clam juice, hence the name Clamato!

Will definitely be looking to find the ingredients to make this properly back in Seoul! Click the link below for a history of the drink!
