Cute desserts in a cute cafe. What else would you expect in Korea!? This particular cafe is known for their banana themed decorations and edible pudding served as a potted plant with the cutest mini shovels for spoons! I originally went in because I saw on the sign that they had potted patbingsoo - but they had sold out at the time. They must have them now again so I'll have to go back to check it out!
On the English menu, it they call it "Flower Paap" haha...but it really is MUCH better than it sounds! You can choose from 4 different flavours - their 2 most popular being banana and strawberry (sometimes they sell out if you go too late), and blueberry and espresso.
Each 5,500won.
The only things not edible are the little flowers, straw the use as a stem for the flowers, the pot, the paper and the shovel. Ok - the edible items are: the Oreo cookie dirt, the chocolate pebble rocks, and then the pudding/cake underneath the dirt! Super cute presentation and the pudding itself is delicious too! Not overly sweet, and the combination with the cake soaks up the pudding nicely.
They have other dessert items on the menu but I have yet to try them. Their other drink selection that is interesting is their 솜사탕라때 (SomSaTang Latte) - Cotten Candy Latte! You can get different flavours, and I got strawberry. They had chunks of real strawberry in there so it was like a latte with strawberry milk with real fruit bits in it.
The fun part was to share the cotton candy that was "floating away" on top. This seems to be a trend these days in Korea as they have cotton candy toppings on ice-cream and cappucino's as well. The latte itself was good, but next time I'd probably get a regular (non-strawberry) one. 5800won
There are so many details in here of themed decorations!
The place itself is pretty small, but we've always been able to set a seat right away.
Kind of a retro vintage feel inside.
You can even get potted pudding plants to-go! Cute gift or something to bring if you're going to someone's house!
