Food courts in Korea have a completely different look and concept to them than in the states. It's so fun just to go walk around, see all the different stands and then choose something delicious from the many options of food available. There are also snack and dessert sections all around like a deli-style.

We were at 신세계백화점 (Shinsegae Department Store) food court area and found these two fun treats to hit the spot!

A whole squid, battered, seasoned with 15 spices and deep-fried on the spot for a piping hot crispy snack! They have these treats in night markets in Taiwan too. It's obviously a popular Asian snack as the line here in Korea was about 20 minutes long for our fried squid! Original: 6000won  Spicy: 7000won

꽃보다 오짱 (Ggot Bodah Oh Jjang) = Squid Over Flowers The concept here is that the whole squid is wrapped up like a bouquet and presented like a bouquet of flowers. So the name is saying that an awesome fried squid bouquet would be preferred over a regular bouquet of flowers!

A bouquet of fried squid!?? Yes please!!! That would be pretty hilarious and awesome if a guy actually brought this for a girl on a date...and hopefully there would be some cold beer to go with it! (Although there is nothing wrong with a nice old-fashioned bouquet of flowers either = p)

BRICK POPS. Real fruit juice popsicles. Looks exactly like what is in the popsicles, and tastes exactly like what is in it. Fresh, great quality and pretty to look at bars of frozen real juice with pieces of real fruit frozen inside. They had a few chocolate versions as well. Must go back to try more! Pictured above: Watermelon Kiwi and Citrus Grapefruit.
